BIKE CHIC

I want to ride my bicycle bicycle BICYCLE!!!

Biking in NYC is a joy, a tad bit dangerous, but riding improves once you get a hang of the NYC streets and to beware of inconsiderate jackass cabbies; the upsurge of bike lanes and bike paths and bike maps makes cruisin' fun. Riding over the bridges (picture left is the view from Brooklyn bridge), parks, piers and riding down the Hudson river is breathtaking.

And just coz you ridin' don't mean you cant look good!

FUR

It's not p.c (you can do Faux), but its beautiful and of utmost essence in the dreaded New York winter, how else can you keep warm and look chic? I do rabbit fur, I mean come on, I eat wabbits, can't let the fur go to waste! (STOP JUDGING ME!)

How adorable are the fur shorts?!

Nicki Cozzolino
(picture left, me and Nicki (silver blazer)

My best girly. I Heart HER, her style and designs...
Working as a designer for Richard Chai http://rchai.com/ .
The womens collection RICHARD CHAI Love Spring 2011 was definitely a winner AND a great opening to the NYC Fashion Week S/S 2011.
The collection was an array of beautiful material, diaphanous layering, with neutral and soft-metallic pallet,  and a chic-urban look. The love collection guides us to an effortless downtown NYC chic look. Take a gander of some of the top looks:

Women’s Guide to Shopping Dowtown (Part DEUX)

Current Location: NOLITA

      • Of course, I miss Cafe Colonial, but rather than a Duane Reade opening (you know what I am talking about; The Parasuco building now a Duane Ready Travesty, that's all we need on the corner of spring, shining so bright), Rag & bone does good. Some Spring 2011 inspiration from them...

      • 2-3ish pm PRINCE STREETyou might be famished by this point, so I'll suggest a few brunch/lunch places
        1. Cafe Habana Ah, yes, their corn really is da shit.
        2. Jacques Charming little french bistro
        3. Delicatessen  One of my fave spots in the area for  serious people watching, margaritas on the rocks and brunch. For a more detailed look into their food follow this link http://www.maisondesreveries.com/2010/04/late-nights-at-delicatessen.html, and take a peak at the fabulous pictures of their food, courtesy of Maison de Reveries, a  fellow food and fashion blogger
        4. Cafe Gitane
        5. Torrissi Italian Specialties Head west on Prince and turn left on Mulberry and behold Torrissi.I've never eaten here as I never can wait in line too long and supposedly they have designated times that one can get a table, just too complicated for me. I got my info from my boys at immaculate infatuation's review. Just f.y.i they are in Eater's 'The 38 Essential New York Restaurants'
Or you might just do as I do, continue shopping, grab another coffee at Cafe Habana and hop, skip to...

          • Time unknown pm STILL ON PRINCE STREET
            • McNally Jackson http://www.mcnallyjackson.com/.On Prince there is one of my favourite book stores, McNally, charming, cozy ambiance, with seating and a selection of nibbles and drinks to boot. Me likey ALOT.

Women’s Guide to Shopping Dowtown (Part I)

                Starting Point:

                East Village:

                10:00am ABRACO (86 East 7th Str)
http://abraconyc.com/#home Your morning coffee fix. If you love drip coffee, ice coffee, or any coffee for that matter, you’ll LOVE Abraco, the alchemists of coffee. p.s. Get that Olive Oil cake, have a bite, dip it in your coffee, put it in your purse and save for your shopping schlep. If it’s sunny, just enjoy your coffee outside on the bench, listening to strange conversations, its fascinating. If the weather doesn’t inspire though, just keep on walking…Take a gander at the photos of that infamous cake http://abraconyc.com/#photos
If by any chance you are there around noon go to these shops on 7th street btw 1 and 2nd Ave
                1. Tokyo 7

                10:30 – 11:00am BOWERY
walk down to 2nd Ave and 2nd street and walk up to Bowery
                1.      John Varvatos (bowery btw 1st and 2nd str)
                2.      Blue & Cream (Bowery and 1st Street )
Great gear, on the pricey side but good.

11:30 Think Coffee (1 Bleeker Str, corner of Bowery and Bleeker)http://thinkcoffeenyc.com
You might be in need of another coffee fix, or you’re shopping with a complete twat, who’s just standing next to you, breathing down your neck, moving as you move, looking bored; just send him off to Think Coffee. One must try the Spanish Latte, and they also have grilled cheese on whole wheat toast,

                12:00pm BOND STREET
My favourite street to walk down in NYC. Beware of gigantic rats at night. Its cobbled-stone road and has fantastic architecture. Shopping wise one can check out Daryl K, United Nude.

                12:00-12:30pm Lafayette Street (north)
Just take a little detour to Screaming Mimis, you will not regret it, I assure you. Just take a right on Lafayette and you’ll be in vintage heaven. Not cheap, but not ridiculously expensive either.

                BLACK LEATHER

OYE VEH! how I love black leather. Just so versatile and sexy...
Pictures, just look at the pictures, no words needed:

                SHORTS & SKORTS

I'm loving shorts this S/S 2011. I've been rocking them ALL year, even for work, and I REFUSE to take them off, even with the season changing, I'll just start wearing colour block tights.
Here's a run down of my favourite short looks.

                Tattoo

So, I finally got that Tattoo!!! so proud of me. Josh at East side Ink did good (see dude above). I entrusted upon him the font and size, bigger than what I expected, but I lurve it! My friend Timmy came to hold my hand. It didn't hurt, just a little sting. Though, I did act like a bad-ass in the beginning "This doesn't hurt a bit!whats all the fuss about?!"...but then, after a little while, I bit my tongue, closed my eyes, and just wanted it over and done with!
My first debut of the tattoo at Coney Island on Labour Day...
